![]() Horsey sauce on the side tasted like plain sour cream. Mahi tacos.these were stuffed a mile high with pico to hide the fact there was barely any bland fish inside. 21 dollar mahi sandwich came on an appetizer sized roll.(and on a big plate- not a nice presentation at all). Chips tasted like bagged grocery store chips (the generic brand) Got only about a handful.asked for more chips after we plowed through them in literally 2 minutes and they brought us another handful. (throw me a bone would ya?) Ordered some chips and salsa. (who spit in her soup?) Entrees come with nothing.not even a couple tablespoons of slaw in a little paper cup. area near at the bar and she obliged but never cracked a smile. Moreīeen here several times and it's way overrated! Went for my birthday and the unfriendly hostess began taking us back to the afterthought add on room in the back that has the atmosphere of my garage. Still, NB is a waterfront town with lots of tourists, so you expect a mark-up, and I'm not sure if Michigan sales tax is higher than Indiana's. The food was Burgerhaus quality (a favorite burger place in Valpo and Munster), but just a bit more expensive. I would definitely consider coming here again in the summer. And it is definitely better food than the sushi place in town, which rots, despite the cute Kawaii decorations. I've been to Oinks and the "burgers with the ugly-faced guy" before, but I like Stray Dog's atmosphere better than both of those touristy spots. My friend also loved the turkey pastrami, & took about half home, as it was huge for a sandwich. I loved the 3 sliders - spicy and delicious cheese on top. It was 1 pm Michigan time when we got there, and many tables & booths were filled, but the food came out quickly. But it was no hassle at all to the staff. We got seated by the fireplace, because it was a cooler day, and we didn't want the high tops. Our waitress was friendly and did a great job. We also ordered small fries ($3) to go with the meals, which didn't come with any sides. ![]() diet coke, she a real coke, and both of those were $3 each. She got the turkey pastrami club ($17) I got the spicy bacon sliders ($17), but both were specials for the day. My friend paid over $54 dollars (with < a 20% tip) for the 2 of us to have lunch last week. The cost was actually very reasonable for the food quality. That is not a knock on the restaurant at all. Make sure you like unsweetened tea if you plan on ordering it. It was unsweetened tea with a mango flavor that showed up as an aftertaste. I know there was one issue with the mango tea, but that was more of a personal preference with one of us. I know that one of our friends had the fish and chips and it looked amazing. My partner had a chicken sandwich and fries. I had the Tinga Chicken Tacos, which were a little messy, but excellent. Refills were offered in a timely manner (which is my #2 expectation after correct orders) and the food was excellent. I do not recall it being memorable.įast forward to 2023 and marked me impressed! My girlfriend and I and friends stopped for dinner after visiting the. I had been here once, about 20 years ago, and spent that evening on the outside rooftop area. ![]() Kid Friendly Restaurants in New Buffalo.American Restaurants for Special Occasions in New Buffalo.American Restaurants for Large Groups in New Buffalo.American Restaurants for Breakfast in New Buffalo.Restaurants near The Stray Dog Bar & Grill.Hotels near New Buffalo Township Memorial Park.Hotels near New Buffalo Township Library.Hotels near New Buffalo Railroad Museum.Hotels near MDOT-New Buffalo Welcome Center 707.Hotels near Four Winds Casino New Buffalo.New Buffalo Hotels with Laundry Facilities.New Buffalo Hotels with Air Conditioning.
