Also, maybe look at C:/Program Files/NetSupport/NetSupport Manager for the RAT it is using, and destroy all trace of it thereĪlso, this is a sort of old post, its likely it did more. Then doing a search of C drive in explorer for "mcrtvclient.exe" and "lappclimtfldr", or whatever the exe is, then deleting what you can. Check where the EXE file is that it is running at startup and destroy all trace of it. Malware Bytes free is ok, since it doesnt have real time protection, as with hitman proĪll I can think of is first disabling it starting at start up, in Windows 7 run msconfig and get rid of it from startup, windows 10 open task manager, go to startup tab and disable it. If you already have an Anti-Virus, don't get avast too, as you can't have two real time protection AVs at the same time. You may still want to run another scan from a different Anti-Virus after it gets detected if it does get found, just incase not everything was found Even if they change your email, a lock link is sent to your old email If it still hasnt been found, you can try Malware Bytes Anti-Rootkit, Avast! or Hitman Pro (Beware, with Hitman Pro, you must activate a free liscense to remove what it finds, however to the best of my knowledge, the email doesnt have to be correct you enter)Īlso beware, some Viruses block anti-malware websites, prevent you from running them, or hijack the download to download more viruses, MAKE SURE That what you download is the real thing, from the legitimate websiteįinally, if you still cant find it, feel free to find another Malware Scanner, or, There is a chance there wasnt any virus downloaded, but I doubt it if a dos box openedĪlso, make SURE you have mobile authenticator on, try not to log in, and if your password is changed, you should be able to lock your account with a link in the email from steam. Download ADW Cleaner from Bleeping Computer and run a scanģ. Download Malware Bytes (You only need the free edition) and run a scanĢ.
